SAN ANTONIO - The EPA is recognizing two facilities in San Antonio for saving energy.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas and Buzzi Unicem Cement have both achieved Energy Star certification for their energy performance last year. They join 70 manufacturing plants across the nation that earned the certification.
The EPA says together these facilities have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than five million metric tons.
That's equal to the average yearly energy use of more than 400, 000 homes.
