It'll be a Merry Christmas for hundreds of kids on Staten Island thanks to the generosity of others.

Over the last several weeks diners at the borough's Applebee's restaurants were given a free appetizer if they donated a toy. The restaurant collected hundreds of them and handed them off Thursday to the non-profit Where to Turn.

The organization sets up a holiday toy shop and offers families in need the chance to come in and select the toys of their choice.

"No kid should get up on Christmas Morning and not have at least something under the tree. We hope this is the beginning of a partnership with us so we can do other things in the future to help out families on Staten Island, said Where to Turn Founder Dennis McKeon.

Families can pick up gifts at the Where to Turn Wharehouse on 12/16 and 12/17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's located at 22 Brianna Court in Charleston.
