Police say they are investigating a homicide in Bedford–Stuyvesant and another in Crown Heights.

Investigators say they were called to St. John's Place and Schenectady Avenue in Crown Heights around 1:40 Saturday morning. They say they got a 911 call about a man assaulted in the area but when officers arrived they found a 32-year-old unconscious man on the ground.

Investigators say that man was shot in the head. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say a few hours earlier they were called here to the Brevoort Houses on Patchen Avenue in Bedford–Stuyvesant for an assault, but when they arrived they found a 24-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. He died at the hospital.

Detectives say they were told the victim was with his friends in the parking lot when someone approached them and fired several shots.

Police continue to investigate. So far no arrests have been made in either case.

The identities of both victims have not yet been released.
