The Big Apple saw more sunny and dry weather on Sunday, but, it remained unseasonably cold as afternoon highs were at below-normal levels for the twelfth straight day. In addition, the winds were an issue once again, as gusts in excess of 30mph were seen in parts of the area.

More sunshine is in store for Monday, and the winds will be lighter as well, but, temperatures will once again be at below-normal levels.

Looking ahead, Spring begins on Tuesday, but, it won't feel very Spring-like. On-and-off snow showers are expected throughout the day, wind gusts in excess of 25mph are possible, and temperatures are not expected to get out of the 30s. If that's not enough, a second storm system could bring more snowflakes to the region on Wednesday. This round of wintry weather shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience however, as snow totals are expected to be on the low side.
