NEW YORK - Ten city schools will close at the end of this school year. 

The Panel for Educational Policy voted early Thursday morning after hours of discussion and public testimony. 

The closing schools are:

Bronx

  • New Explorers High School
  • Urban Science Academy
  • PS 92 Bronx School
  • Felisa Rincon de Gautier Institute
  • Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation

Brooklyn

  • Eubie Blake School

Manhattan

  • PS 50 Vito Marcantonio
  • Coalition School for Social Change
  • KAPPA IV
  • Academy for Social Action

The members of the panel voted to keep PS/MS 42 R. Vernam and MS 53 Brian Piccolo open — both are in Queens.

The panel also voted to postpone a decision on the High School for Health Careers and Sciences in Manhattan.
