One person is dead after an early-morning fire at a Brooklyn apartment building, the second fatal fire at the building in less than a month.
Firefighters responded at around 3:15 a.m. Friday to the 13-story building located at 51 Ross Street in Williamsburg.
Investigators say the fire started inside an apartment on the 12th floor, and was mostly contained to that unit.
A 78-year-old man was found dead inside.
Fire officials say the apartment did not have a working fire detector.
Two other people suffered minor injuries.
There's no word yet on what sparked the fire.
Back on January 27, a 78-year-old woman was killed by a fire in the same building, on the same floor.
Authorities said it was sparked by a cigarette.
