A Brooklyn rabbi has been charged with attempting to have sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.

59-year-old Nathan Rabinowich was arrested Wednesday night.

Prosecutors say he had arranged a meeting in Queens after sending the girl sexually explicit messages online.

The girl was actually an undercover police detective.

Rabinowich is charged with attempted rape and attempted child endangerment, among other charges.

If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison.

Rabinowich is the Dean of the Ahavath Torah Institute and CEO of Jewish Heritage Tours.

NY1 has reached out to his attorney for comment, but had not heard back as of 11 p.m. Thursday.
