Tenants in an apartment building in the Jamaica section of Queens tell NY1 they have been sleeping in frigid apartments for the past few days.

Residents of 88-22 Parsons Boulevard protested against their landlord, saying they have had no heat or hot water during the last week as the city dealt with freezing temperatures.

Tenants say the building's super has not been able to help, and they are afraid something might happen as people use their stoves and space heaters to stay warm.

"How much longer do you think we people can endure this cold weather in our own homes? You can't tell us 72 hours. We have children, we have elderly people. How long?" said Amy Anderson, one of the tenants.

"In the night we cannot sleep. We put the coat, blanket, two or three socks, hand gloves to go to bed," said tenant Sabina Parven.

NY1 reached out to the building's landlord for comment and has not heard back.
