A yellow cab driver from Queens died Sunday morning after an SUV crashed into his taxi on the East Side of Manhattan.

Police say Mir Hoosain, 35, of Queens was standing in front of his taxi on 26th Street between Third and Lexington Avenues around 2 a.m. when an SUV crashed into the cab.

The impact sent the cab forward, pinning and severely injuring Hoosain.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Several parked cars were also hit during the accident.

A 43-year-old man sitting in one of the cars was injured and was recovering in the hospital Sunday night.

Police say the SUV driver passed a breathalyzer test and refused medical attention.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation late Sunday.
