A woman says one of her family's dogs was shot and killed Wednesday by police during an investigation in Queens.
Police say they were responding to a location in connection with a live warrant when an officer was bit on the right forearm and fired on a charging Pitbull.
The woman says her daughter was on her way to work when the incident happened around 9:45 a.m.
"She distinctly told the cops that there were two dogs inside the yard so they have to stay out in order to come inside to get me and the cop insisted upon coming up on the property," Andrea Sang, who reported the dog was shot, said.
It's not clear what the warrant was for.
Police say an officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
