Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly shooting and wounding a 38-year-old man and his two-year-old son in a park in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. NY1's Michael Herzenberg filed the following report.

Pretty Isaac is still struggling to cope with the shooting of her 2-year-old son Quadir and his father Thursday in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

"I was devastated," Isaac said.

Police say two men approached the 38-year-old father and son in Herbert Von King Park.

Witnesses heard the suspects yell "that's him."

"I heard two shots as I was coming through here -- pow pow," one witness said.

Investigators say the suspects fired a total of three shots.

One hit the father in the hand. The other two ripped right through each of the little boy's arms.

"I saw maybe about six or seven people. They were going different ways," the witness said. "Most of the people that I saw were people with children."

Cops chased, captured and arrested a 19-year-old male in the basement of his apartment building, just 100 yards from the shooting.

For hours, a police helicopters circled above the crime scene at Lafayette and Marcy Avenues.

"It's bad, very bad around here," one man said. "You gotta be very careful."

Isaac said her son is coming along well.
