Resorts World Casino in the South Ozone Park section of Queens hosted a massage-a-thon fundraiser on Sunday to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief.
There were chair massages that cost a dollar a minute and live music and raffles.
Event sponsors said it was a fun way for people to relieve some stress while also giving back to those in need.
"We're known for bringing relaxation to people's lives and people are in great distress because of the hurricane and this is what we do for a living," said Gina Liccardo, the owner of LE Mobile Massage. "So we need to be here, we need to be helping out and volunteering."
"You know, there's a lot of people out there that are in need right now," said Mike Zervos, the owner of Poseidon Entertainment. "And I just felt, hey, we have to do something, everything that we can to help these people."
All of the money raised at the event went to the American Red Cross.
