The man once suspected in the disappearance of Etan Patz is back in jail following a brief release.

Jose Ramos was released from a Pennsylvania prison Wednesday morning after completing his 27-year sentence for molesting two other boys, but was immediately arrested.

Officials say he did not provide accurate information about where he was headed, as required by Megan's Law which applies to sex offenders.

In 2004, a civil court found Ramos responsible for Etan's death.

The Manhattan district attorney's office decided there was not enough evidence to charge him criminally.

Ramos has denied any involvement in the six-year-old's death.

The man who police say admitted to killing Etan is due back in court next week.

Pedro Hernandez is charged with second-degree murder in the case.

Etan disappeared from SoHo in 1979.

Police say Hernandez confessed to suffocating the boy and throwing his body in the trash.
