With the Consolidated Edison lockout nearly two weeks old, the utility and leaders from Local 1-2 are heading back to the bargaining table Saturday afternoon.

Talks ended Friday with the union saying both sides are still far apart.

8,500 unionized workers have been protesting outside the home of the utility's chairman and company headquarters.

Pensions and wages remain sticking points.

5,000 Con Ed managers have been running operations since July 1, when workers were locked out after contract talks first broke down.

Local 1-2 filed a petition earlier this week asking the New York Public Service Commission to end the lockout.
