A new city ad campaign is on its way, aimed at helping New Yorkers avoid homelessness.

The four-month campaign called "Reach Out, Before You're Forced Out of Your Home" will target families in 15 at-risk communities through ads on billboards, subway, and buses.

The Department of Homeless Services says it will encourage people to access prevention services through the city's Homebase program before they need shelter.

Public service announcements will also air in July.

Homeless Services Commissioner Seth Diamond will apear as a guest on tonight's "Inside City Hall" at 7 and 10 p.m.
