A photo exhibit in Queens is giving observers a look behind the artists.
The LIC Artists 2010 To 2012 exhibit features about 150 photographs of artists from Long Island City and their studios.
The photos spotlight a range of artists including painters, dancers and musicians, and their work over the last year.
"This series is very close to my heart because most of my friends are artists and what I'm trying to do here is do a face portrait and a portrait of their studio. So you could see the actual artist and the environment that they work in," said LIC Artists creator Orestes Gonzalez.
The series is being shown at the Long Island City Market and will be on display until the end of January.
