A woman has been arrested on charges of smuggling $700,000 worth of cocaine into John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Investigators say Dayanet Rodriguez, 32, arrived Tuesday morning from the Dominican Republic with 22 pounds of cocaine.
Trained dogs found the drugs in the lining of three checked bags.
Rodriguez was placed under arrest and turned over to Homeland Security.
She now faces federal narcotics smuggling charges.
