Job seekers lined up in Queens Thursday in hopes of landing a position in a rough economy.

At least 1,100 people attended a job fair in Corona.

Over 60 employers were on hand, looking to fill over 1,000 positions.

"There is nothing more important than getting jobs, and these individuals know it," said State Senator Jose Peralta.

"You know, it's hard to find a job, and a place like this is a great opportunity for people to find a job that's in desperate need of work," said one New Yorker.

"You get to see who you're dealing with, they can redirect you to where you need to go professionally," said another.

A second fair will be held Saturday at Saint Leo School in Corona.

It will run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
