The Queens Hospital Center held a Halloween Reunion Party Wednesday for some special patients.
Babies born weighing under three pounds at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were welcomed back for the "Mad Monster Bash" so the staff could check on their progress.
The children came dressed in costume for the third annual party.
Parents say it's a great way to celebrate their kids progress.
"Thank God she's a survivor. For one pounds, she is a miracle baby. She is very healthy," said parent Ana Aguilar.
"The doctors and nurses in NICU, they really deserve a lot of credit," said parent Lallman Motana.
"We follow them for a number of years, making sure they meet their developmental milestones," said Director of Neonatology at Queens Hospital Center Dr. Ivan Hand.
An average of 40 babies a month are taken care of at the hospital's NICU.
