State Senator Jose Peralta helped bring the push against Arizona's immigration law to the Subway Series.
The Queens Democrat joined a rally outside Citi Field before the Mets-Yankees game on Friday.
Demonstrators called on the rivals to boycott next year's All-Star Game in Arizona.
Peralta said thousands of people signed petitions and he was going to deliver them to the Mets, asking the team to protest the law.
"It has not only discriminated against immigrants, Latinos, but all those who want to come to this country and want to call this country their home," said Peralta.
"It is unconscionable for the Mets or the Yankees to send players to Arizona where they will be racially profiled," said Mets fan Dave Pecoraro.
Organizers said both teams should only go the the All-Star game if it moves to another state, or if Arizona rolls back its immigration policies.
The Yankees declined to comment Friday and there was no word from the Mets.
