The small town of Rhinebeck in the Hudson Valley is bouncing back after its time in the spotlight for Chelsea Clinton’s wedding Saturday. Elaina Athans of NY1’s sister station YNN filed the following report.

Traffic may have dwindled a bit in Rhinebeck, but the village is still basking in the afterglow of Chelsea Clinton's wedding.

At the farmers market Sunday, the blushing bride was understandably the talk of the town. And folks even sampled some of her wedding fair. Bottles from the Clinton Vineyards were provided to guests in their welcome package.

Clinton Vineyards owner Phyllis Feder says the hoopla surrounding the former first daughter's wedding is still going strong.

"I think, you know, people are still very excited and there's a buzz and it'll be for a while,” Feder said.

Some merchants say since all this commotion first started, business has gone up about 50 percent and if anything, it put Rhinebeck on the map.

"It is now going to be also known as the town where Chelsea Clinton got married, so that's going to last a very, very long time,” said shop owner Diana Brind.

"The Clintons are world historic figures obviously. So the wedding of their daughter here is a big deal for this community,” said Steve Block, board member of Rhinebeck Farmers Market.

But there is at least one resident isn't a fan of the Clinton craze and is ready for Rhinebeck to return to simpler days.

"I don't want it to be that way. I want it to be like the way we were,” said the resident.
