NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 News revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Tanya Valle's April 5, 2002 coverage of the funeral of Mohammed Salman Hamdani, an NYPD cadet who's disappearance on 9/11 came under suspicion but was ultimately hailed as a hero for rushing to the site to try to save lives.

NY1 Follow-Up: While Hamdani was buried with full honors by the NYPD he is not listed with members of the department on the World Trade Center Memorial. Memorial officials say Hamdani's name was not on the list provided by the NYPD of its members killed in the line of duty on September 11th. His mother believes he's being excluded because of his Muslim faith.
