Some of the warmest destinations are offering special deals to help those looking to cure their holiday hangover. NY1's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.

Need an antidote to the stresses of the holiday season? The first part of January, known as the holiday hangover period, is a slow travel time that offers affordable deals for those who can get away.

Deep in the Caribbean, Curtain BluffCurtain Bluff on Antigua in the West Indies is featuring a "Brrr Breaks" promo valid for travel between Jan. 5 and January 20 on all rooms. Guests who book six nights will get the seventh night free or the fifth night for half off when booking four nights.

Back on the mainland, Miami’s Boutique-style Hotel Urbano kicks off a second anniversary deal in January for stays of two consecutive nights through February. The 22 percent rack rate discounts are as low as $160 per night excluding taxes based on double occupancy.

If you’re looking to ditch the cold weather for an extended period, head to Florida’s Gulf Coast for discounted month-long stays between now and February. The nightly rate is $33 plus tax at Sterling Resorts as part of the Sterling Snowbird Club when staying a minimum of 28 nights at properties along Panama City Beach, Scenic 30-A and Destin.

Connect with your inner foodie this January for Restaurant Month in Napa Valley, California. More than 50 of the region’s restaurants and hotels are offering special menus with wine pairings and lodging options.
