While the Bombers were in Boston grappling with the Red Sox, Roger Waters was putting on his own field of dreams at Yankee Stadium: a staging of the 1979 Pink Floyd masterpiece "The Wall." You can imagine this is not your father's load in.

"I travel with about 150 crew," said Chris Kansy, the tour's production manager. "We're using about 150 locals. So today on the bench, there were about 300 people working today trying to make this happen."

Waters is an eloquent protester against war and state terror. He sometimes took on the guise of a fascist strongman and at one point fired a faux machine gun into the audience.

For Another Brick in the Wall Part 2, the children took the stage wearing "Fear Builds Walls" t-shirts.

"He's certainly not a champion of mediocrity," Kansy said of Waters. "There is always something to be improved upon in his eyes."

Outside the wall, the past weekend was significant for the re-emergence of the letters CBGB. The fabled club rights have been bought and the first annual CBGB Festival took place in dozens of venues beginning Thursday.

The festival wrapped up on Sunday night with The Mighty Fishbone at the Brooklyn Bowl.

The wildly eclectic and influential group is touring behind their latest EP called "Crazy Glue" and is the subject of a new documentary called Everyday Sunshine that uses Fat Albert-style animation.
