NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Arts reporter Stephanie Simon filed the following report.

Starting on Thursday night, FLICfest at the Irondale Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn is a week-and-a-half-long festival celebrating "Feature Length Independent Choreography," including the world premiere of Robin Neveu Brown's Pare. Tickets are $25-$30.

Winter Antiques Show

Friday kicks off the Winter Antiques Show at the Park Avenue Armory, which is a great chance to see an amazing array of fine and decorative arts. Tickets are $20 and the show runs through January 29.

Asphalt Orchestra At The Met

For a different take on Americana, head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Friday, when the Asphalt Orchestra will perform three times throughout the day in the newly reopened American Wing Galleries for Paintings, Sculpture and Decorative Arts. The performances are free to museum-goers.

Cachao Lopez's Music At Lincoln Center

Friday and Saturday night, see the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra celebrate the music of Israel "Cachao" Lopez. The Cuban bassist and composer is considered the inventor of mambo. Carlos Henriquez will lead the band. Tickets range from $10-$120 and showtime is at 8 p.m.

Rachelle Rak At Le Poisson Rouge

SUnday and Monday night, see Broadway veteran Rachelle Rak perform her autobiographical show, "I’m In" at Le Poisson Rouge. Rak covers her journey to Broadway and examines what it takes to make it on the "Great White Way." The night includes well-known classics and original songs. Shows are Sunday at 6 p.m. and Monday at 10 p.m. and tickets are $20-$40.

American Folk Art Museum
