The city is set to demolish some homes that were damaged beyond repair by Hurricane Sandy.

Sources say around three dozen homes on Staten Island and in Queens will be torn down in the coming weeks due to safety risks.

Specific addresses are not yet known, but two homes are set to be destroyed on New Dorp Lane on Staten Island.

The homes were red-tagged for demolition, but the owners thought they could make repairs, according to sources.

Sources say the city plans to take down the buildings in the coming weeks.
