Several people were injured Wednesday in a three car pile-up on the Van Wyck service road in South Jamaica, Queens.

The accident happened near Linden Boulevard around noon Wednesday.

Firefighters used the "jaws of life" to remove one of the passengers, as the rear of the car hung on a bent street sign.

One witness said the driver was unresponsive with his foot still on the pedal, spinning the car's wheels.

Residents claimed many accidents happen in the area.

Two people were taken to Jamaica Hospital.
