A grandmother from Long Island says she was injured and humiliated during a strip search at Kennedy Airport.
Lenore Zimmerman, 85, says she asked be patted down instead of walking through a body scanner because she thought it would interfere with her defibrillator.
Instead of a pat-down, she says the security screeners took her to a private room and asked her to remove her pants and other clothing.
Zimmerman also says she banged her shin during the search, causing it to bleed, and eventually missed her flight to Florida.
"I look like a terrorist? I'm going to be 85 years old, and I weigh 103 pounds and they strip-search me," said Zimmerman.
Transportation Security Administration officials deny Zimmerman was strip-searched, saying in a statement, "While we regret that the passenger feels she had an unpleasant screening experience, TSA does not include strip searches as part of our security protocols, and one was not conducted in this case."
