NY1 For You got results for renters of a Staten Island Home who had to live with a family of raccoons in their ceiling. NY1's Susan Jhun filed the following report.

A couple of weeks ago, NY1 For You told viewers about the noise that a raccoon and her babies were creating while living in the ceiling of a Staten Island house. The noise drove renters to call NY1 For You.

"You can hear the babies screaming in the middle of the night, (at) 2, 3 clock in the morning," said renter Bernadette Reid-Collins.

"The sounds is like babies screaming and other things," said renter Luz Rivera.

The tenants told us the raccoons, whom they captured on home video, had been coming in through the chimney and crawling around the attic for the past two months, keeping the tired tenants up all night.

The occupants say they repeatedly asked their landlord to address the issue but got no response. That's when they contacted NY1 For You.

The station then called the landlord. In response to our call, he hired a service which waited for the raccoons to leave, then caged the chimney so the raccoons couldn't get back in.

"I was trying it on my own, no results, so you guys are great at doing this!" Reid-Collins says.
