A fire truck collided with a motorcycle in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn on Monday, killing the motorcyclist.

Fire officials say Ladder 1-11 was responding to a rubbish fire started by 17-year-old Kevin Saunders with illegal fireworks on Nostrand Avenue Monday afternoon.

On its way, the fire truck slammed into the bike driven by Reginald Brown, 46, at the intersection of Marcy and Gates Avenues.

Officials say Brown was taken to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Friends say Brown was on his way home from work at The Doe Fund, a nonprofit that works with the homeless.

Members of Brown's motorcycle group held a vigil outside his home Monday night and said he was a hard-working, friendly man.

"Reggie was a good, friendly guy, cared about people, liked to have fun. But in general he enjoyed life," said one mourner.

"Reg was a good, hard-working man. Ride his bike mostly on the weekends, go to the family biker barbecues and bike blessings and followed all the rules," said another.

Fire marshals have arrested Saunders.
